Beasts - The 4th Beast of Daniel's Prophecy - The Beast with 7 heads,10 horns and a little horn (antichrist)

- The 4th beast was one of the four beasts to come up out of the sea (Dan 7:3), bottomless pit, or abyss (Rev 17:8)
- These four beasts are kings (Dan 7:17) or kingdoms (Dan 7:23), diverse one from another (Dan 7:3).
- The waters are "peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues" (Rev 17:15)
- The 4th beast/kingdom is the fourth kingdom upon the earth (Dan 7:23)
- The 4th beast is depicted in the legs of the statue in Daniel's vision, "the legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay (Dan 2:33)
- This 4th beast is dreadful, terrible, and very strong (Dan 7:7), strong as iron, subduing and breaking all things (Dan 2:40)
- It has iron teeth by which it devoured and brake in pieces and stamped the residue with the feet of it (Dan 7:7, 19, 23)
- It was different from the first three beasts (Dan 7:7, 19)
- It had seven heads (Rev 17:9). They are the seven mountains "on which the woman sitteth". (Rev 17:9)
- It is referred to as the "red dragon" by John, who adds that the seven heads and ten horns had seven crowns upon his heads. (Rev 12:3-4, 7, 9, 13, 16, 17, Rev 13:1-2, 4, 11, 16, 13, 22)
- It had ten horns (Dan 7:7, 20) They are the ten kings that shall arise (Dan 7:24, Rev 13:1)
- Of the seven kings, five are fallen, one is, and one had not yet come, but when he came he would continue for a short space (Rev 17:10).
Note: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece fell. The Roman Empire "is", as it existed at the time of the prophecy, The king to come may be the Ottoman Empire in 1453 AD. - It "was, and is not" and "was, and is not, and yet is". (Rev 17:8) He is the 8th "and is of the seven", and goes into perdition - a damnable nation, ruin, or loss. (Rev 17:11)
- The dragon's tail drew a third of the stars in heaven and cast them down to earth (Rev 12:4)
- The dragon stood before the woman in labor to devour her child as soon as it was born (Rev 12:4)
- Upon his heads the name of blasphemy (Rev 13:1)
- He was like a leopard, with feet like a bear, the mouth of a lion (Rev 13:2)
- They get their power from the dragon (Satan) and give their power to the beast. (Rev 13:2, 4, Rev 17:13)
- One of the heads receives a deadly wound and was healed, amazing the world (Rev 13:3) - perhaps the USSR
- They worshipped the dragon which gave power to the beast (Rev 13:4)
- They worshipped the beast (Rev 13:4)
- He is given power for 42 months (Rev 13:5)
- It carries the woman (Rev 17:7)
The Little Horn (Antichrist)
- An 11th "little horn" comes up among the ten horns:
- He will subdue or pluck up three of the first horns by the roots. (Dan 7:8).
- The little horn had the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things. (Dan 7:8, 20-22)
- The little horn makes war with the saints and prevails against them until judgment given (Dan 7:21-25, Dan 11:36)
- He will not follow his father's religion, nor any god (Dan 11:37)
- He will not desire women (Dan 11:37)
- He will magnify himself above all (Dan 11:37)
- He will divide the land for gain (Dan 11:39)
- He thinks to change times and laws (Dan 7:25)
- His dominion will be taken away and given to the saints (Dan 7:26-27)
